What a lovely summer we had!

The children had lots of fun over the summer mostly playing outside and exploring our new areas. It was great to get the paddling pools out and cool down.

We had a successful crop in our nursery allotment this year, with the children enjoying some home grown strawberries, onions, tomatoes and pumpkins!

This is the first year we have managed to grow pumpkins and we are excited to be able to use them for Halloween this year. Our plans including pumpkin pie and carving.

We also had some very successful tall sunflowers which the children  enjoyed measuring and learning new mathematical vocabulary such as 'tall', 'taller than',short', 'shorter than', big and 'little'. We now plan to dry the sunflower heads and pick out the seeds ready for next years crop and to feed to the winter animals.

Children starting school in September 2020.

Our Preschool teachers will be giving you information about school in your preschool consultations in October. This is the time to keep an eye on all the school websites for their open days. Some of the open days that have been released are displayed on the parents board in the preschool room. Not all have released their dates yet so keep checking. When you make your school choice in November please remember to put all 5 schools down, because if you only put one school and do not get that school everyone else will be allocated their choices first then you will be left with what ever is left. This could be a school miles away from your home.Sop please use all your choices.
