Longlevens July News Letter 2021

Summer is here at last! We are welcoming the better weather and hopefully to ease on our restrictions too.

Firstly, I would like to say a huge’ THANK YOU’ to all our parents for being so understanding and supportive through this extremely challenging year! We understand that with the government guidelines a lot of children who have had temperatures or coughs have had to go for Covid -19 PCR tests , which for children and their parents can be very distressing. We understand as experienced practitioners that children run temperatures and pick up coughs all the time and it can be very frustrating for parents getting a call to collect their child for a covid test, so we thank you for following the government guidelines and helping to keep us all safe.

We will see if anything changes from July 19th when restrictions are due to be lifted.

Secondly, I would like to thank all our staff here who have been wonderful at learning new ways to do things, coming in throughout the pandemic, doing their lateral flow tests twice a week and keeping up their communications with you through tapestry. Chestnuts Staff you all deserve a medal.

Please can parents make sure they are uploading any accident at home reports, medication instructions, any wow moments that the children may have done at home.

These are things that your child may have achieved for the first time, such their first steps, feeding themselves, riding a bike, building a tower, sharing with their sibling.

We would also like to see pictures of days out that you may have been on, or family members or pets that we can talk to your children about and encourage their confidence and language skills.
