Spring Newsletter - Longlevens.

Spring is here at last!

Hopefully we can say good bye to those winter bugs!!Thank you to all for your patience and understanding at keeping children off for 48 hours after their last bouts of d & v. It is the only way of making sure we can eradicate the bugs from spreading around.

As we have hit the month of showers and sunshine our children will be looking at signs of spring and will be beginning  to plant seeds and bulbs in the nursery garden. Our nursery pond has also began to bring in new wildlife in , just the other day we spotted a dragon fly in the garden. As you can imagine this created a lot of talk and investigation for the children.

Just to remind you we take our children out in all weathers to explore the rain, wind, snow, sun so please can children come into nursery with appropriate clothes for they day ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising here at Longlevens to support and help our Local Charities. You have helped us to raise:

£77.00 for epilepsy in childhood.

£976.00 for Red Nose Day.

66 Easter Eggs for help the homeless.

Our Garden

Our next project for our outdoor space is to provide the children with a new construction area.We have already purchased some large rubber bricks and some construction tools. The children will be learning in key group time how to use rulers, tape measures, hammers and spirit levels. This area will encourage the children to work together and listen to other peoples ideas. It will also encourage problem solving, mathematical language, Shape space and measure and gross and fine motor skills.
