Urgent update for parents/carers at Quedgeley

Dear parents and carers

This weekend two members of staff from one bubble and a member of the management team at our Quedgeley nursery have received positive covid tests. As a result, a significant number of our staff team are required to self isolate. Unfortunately, we are therefore in the position where we have insufficient staff to open the nursery safely tomorrow. Ordinarily we would be able to call on outside assistance, for example from our other nurseries. However, in the interest of infection control, we are currently operating the nurseries as stand alone entities.

The Quedgeley nursery will therefore be closed for one week from tomorrow. We are so sorry for the difficulties that this is going to cause you. You will of course, be refunded the cost of all missed sessions. Sam will be in touch with the amount of your credit and we ask that you deduct this from your regular payment in February.

We are doing everything we can to prevent the spread of the virus within our nurseries, and these have been the first cases in the 8 months since we reopened. While we are closed, a further deep clean will be carried out.

If your child has been in close contact with the members of staff who have tested positive, then we have already been in touch with you. Please do not telephone the nursery next week, but direct any enquiries by email to [email protected]

Once again, we apologise to the disruption and worry that his has caused.

Kind regards
